• Chinyere Eni is a prominent Canadian banking leader and the Executive Head of RBC Origins, formerly RBC Indigenous Banking. Her journey began with overcoming childhood cancer and losing a leg, which fueled her resilience and passion for community service. Starting her career at RBC as a Customer Service Officer, she advanced to lead strategic teams in Commercial Financial Services, supporting a wide range of businesses and entrepreneurs.

Eni is a member of the Little Pine First Nation in Saskatchewan and second-generation Igbo from Nigeria, and she champions representation and mentoring for women leaders from diverse backgrounds. She openly acknowledges challenges like systemic exclusion and imposter syndrome and emphasizes that removing barriers is a shared responsibility.

Under her leadership, RBC Origins launched Canada’s first Truth and Reconciliation Office within a financial institution, focusing on holistic, accountable collaboration with Indigenous communities. She drives initiatives that support economic prosperity for Indigenous peoples, who are starting businesses at nine times the rate of non-Indigenous Canadians. Eni also chairs governance at Wilfrid Laurier University and is active in multiple community and health organizations.
