Chinyere Eni is a remarkable banking leader who inspires through her personal and professional journey. Starting work at 14 and overcoming childhood cancer resulting in leg amputation, she developed resilience and a passion for community service. She began her banking career with RBC after a recruitment call and now leads RBC Origins, focused on economic and social inclusion for Indigenous communities across Canada.
She chairs the Governance Committee for Wilfrid Laurier University Board of Governors, represents Ontario for the War Amputations of Canada Child Amputee program, and is recognized for co-founding the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Ride to Conquer Cancer event. Eni is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of women leaders, emphasizing representation and dismantling systemic barriers.
Her leadership at RBC includes launching the Truth and Reconciliation Office and collaborating with Indigenous communities to foster transparency, accountability, and sustainable relationships. She connects her African and Indigenous heritage to her work and advocates for inclusive financial empowerment at a pivotal time as Indigenous-owned businesses in Canada grow rapidly.
